Product Description

The Magewell Pro Convert SDI 4K Plus is a standalone SDI-to-NDI encoder that converts SD/HD/3G/6G-SDI signals in real time into NDI High Bandwidth streams, supporting up to 4096x2160 60fps 4:2:2 8-bit NDI output. A BNC loop-through output simultaneously routes the original signal downstream without interruption. The input stage accepts RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 color sampling at 10/12-bit depth, along with 16-channel SDI embedded audio. A built-in 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet port complies with IEEE 802.3af PoE, allowing the switch to power the unit directly; power can also be supplied via the USB 2.0 Type B port, which doubles as an RNDIS/ECM management interface. At just 117.5 x 66.7 x 23.4 mm with a ¼–20 threaded mounting hole, the unit fits light stands, desktops and rack installations alike. Management is handled through a Web UI or Magewell Control Hub, with HTTP API support for system integration. A Mini-DIN–8 jack — shared with the Tally light output — provides PTZ camera control via VISCA, PELCO-P and PELCO-D protocols.
